|
Caller ID:
Allows you to see the calling party's phone number before answering a
call. A special display device located on or next to your phone is
required to allow you to view the calling number.
▪ Allows you to determine who is calling before answering or deciding to answer the phone.
▪ Enhances security and privacy by eliminating harassing calls.
▪ Your Caller ID display device can store the phone numbers of people
who called, even while you were out. You can easily review these
numbers and return their calls.
Caller ID with Call Waiting:
When combined, Caller ID with Call Waiting allows you to see who is
calling when you are on the phone and you can decide whether or not to
take the second call.
Caller Name:
The latest enhancement from Blackduck Telephone Company, puts a name
with an incoming - call telephone number on the display unit next to
your phone. You'll know instantly who the caller is and whether or not
you want to answer the call. When you know who the caller is - whether
it's business, social or your child's friend - you know just how to
answer the call. What's more, a date and time log keeps track of the
calls you missed while you were away. So when you return, you have the
opportunity to contact callers you may have been expecting.
Call Waiting:
This feature informs you, with a burst of tone, that another call is
waiting to be answered. (You hear the burst of tone while you are on
the telephone with another caller)
▪Cancel Call Waiting: This feature deactivates the Call Waiting feature for the duration of the telephone call in progress.
Call Forwarding:
This feature is used to forward all calls to another telephone number.
A short ring will be heard on your telephone each time a call is
forwarded to remind you the feature is activated. Also, a distinctive
ring dial tone will be provided as an activation reminder.
Call Forwarding Don't Answer:
This feature is used to forward all calls to another telephone number
when your line is not answered within a specified number of rings. The
number of ring cycles required to activate this feature is determined
by you but programmed by Blackduck Telephone Company. The forward-to
number must be served by the same central office serving you. A
distinctive dial tone will be provided as an activation reminder.
▪ Attempts to forward calls outside your central office will result in an intercept announcement or reorder tone.
Call Forwarding Busy Line:
This feature is used to forward all calls to another telephone number
when your line is busy. A distinctive dial tone will be provided as an
activation reminder.
▪Call Forwarding with Distinctive Ring:
With this feature as an add-on to Call Forwarding, when a call is
forwarded to a location it will have a distinctive ring to separate it
from the regular calls on that line. An additional number is not
assinged.
Call Return: Allows you to dial a code and have a call automatically returned to the last party who called or attempted to call you.
▪ Eliminates the aggravation of rushing to the phone when you're
returning from errands or in the shower only to find that the person on
the other end has hung up.
▪ Makes it easy to return calls that would normally be missed.
Custom Ringing (Distinctive Ring, Personal Ring, Selective Ring, or Phantom Line):
Custom ringing is a service offered where the main line is assigned one
or two additional telephone numbers (a total of three numbers can be on
one line). Each additional number has a unique ring to separate it from
the others. This allows the ability to distinguish what type of call is
coming in before answering. The additional telephone numbers can be
listed in the directory at your request.
Call Screening:
Allows you to create a list of phone numbers from which you do not wish
to receive calls. Calls from phone numbers on your list are sent to an
announcement that informs the caller that you are not receiving calls
at this time.
▪ Allows you to block calls from people with whom you do not wish to speak.
▪ Enhances security and privacy.
Call Transfer: This feature allows you to transfer any established call to a third party.
Do Not Disturb (with Personal Identification Number option):
This feature prevents incoming calls from terminating at your telephone
and diverts them to a busy tone. Only incoming callers who know your
chosen PIN and who are calling from a tone dial telephone call override
the Do Not Disturb feature by entering the PIN. A distinctive dial tone
is also provided to remind you that your feature is activated.
Speed Calling, 1-Digit (8 number capacity) or 2-Digit (30 number capacity):
Permits you to call pre-selected, frequently used telephone numbers by
dialing fewer digits. One-digit Speed Calling allows you to assign up
to 8 one-digit Speed Calling codes using the digits 2 through 9. Your
telephone may also be equipped with the 2-digit Speed Calling feature,
which allows you to assign up to 30 additional numbers. Each Speed
Calling entry may contain up to 24 digits.
Repeat Dialing:
Allows you to dial a code to have your phone continuously attempt to
redial a busy number that you tried to call. When the destination line
is free, you will be alerted with a special ring, and a call will
automatically be made. You can also use Repeat Dialing to redial the
last number you called (redial without having a redial feature on your
telephone).
▪ Eliminates the fustration of continuously redialing numbers and receiving annoying busy signals.
▪ Saves time and effort. Repeat dialing will keep dialing the number
for you - automatically - until your call gets through.
▪ You will no longer have to look up or remember the phone number for redialing.
Special Call Acceptance:
Allows you to screen incoming calls by creating a list of phone numbers
from which you are willing to accept calls. Calls from phone numbers
not contained on your list are sent to an announcement that informs the
caller that you are not receiving calls at this time.
▪ Prevents unwanted interruptions, particularly solicitation calls.
▪ Enhances security and privacy by allowing only the most important calls to reach you.
Three Way Calling:
This feature allows a telephone to carry a toll restriction so that
most users cannot make long distance calls from that line, but with a
secret password the restriction can be lifted.
Remote Activation of a Calling Feature:
Allows the user to control a calling feature from another location away
from the telephone they wish to control. The most common feature to use
remote activation with is Call Forwarding.
Voice Messaging:
With this service your callers can leave you a message while you are
away or already on the phone. Perfect for busy households and
businesses.
Voice Messaging Pager Notification: This service sends a message to your pager letting you know you have received a new message in your voice mailbox.
